Pet Cremation

At Paws in Heaven, we understand the profound love and bond you share with your furry companion. During this difficult time, we strive to provide you with a clear understanding of our meticulous four-step process, ensuring transparency, integrity, and utmost compassion at every stage.

  1. Schedule An Appointment: Before or after your pet has passed, make an appointment with Paws in Heaven. We are happy to schedule an appointment and/or arrange transportation for your pet. Simply call or text us at 801-790-0200 or email us at pawsinheaven7@gmail.com.
  2. Final Viewing: You can have your final viewing in our reception room, your home, or the vet clinic. After the viewing, you’ll solidify your order and will be given a tag corresponding to the tag that will follow your pet throughout the process. At this point, you'll settle your invoice if you haven't already. After you leave, your pet is temporarily placed in our morgue.
  3. Cremation Day: On the day of cremation, your pet is gently placed in the cremator with a tracking coin. Then, the remains are further processed into ash (cremains).
  4. Ashes: The cremains are put into your urn of choice along with the cremation tag that follows them every step of the way (if you choose to have their cremains returned to you). The tag lets you know with absolute certainty that the ashes belong to your beloved pet.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pet Cremation

Q: How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes being returned to me?

A: Once your pet arrives in our facility, they are tagged with a cremation number that stays with them throughout the process. You are given the other end of the tag that matches your pet’s cremation number for reference. The matching cremation tag is returned with your pet’s ashes. At Paws in Heaven, we aim to help our customers find closure and peace. Achieving that requires integrity and honesty. If you need more assurance, you can opt for a witness cremation for an additional cost of $150 with the purchase of a private cremation. During a witness cremation, you get to watch as your pet is placed into the cremator and taken out when it is done.
